Probably the most popular room at The Gore...
Marguerite, Lady Blessington was a legendary figure on the Victorian scene. She lived in Gore House, on a site where the Albert Hall now stands. Here she invited the literary giants of her time, such as Dickens, Thackeray and Hans Christian Anderson to dine with her and discuss the modern new world.
The room boasts an antique mirrored headboard, with huge bay windows and a black marble-tiled bathroom hosting a free- standing cast iron bath and walk-in shower.
Its opulent elegance at its best, just like Lady Blessington herself!
